The Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) wishes to announce its first ever Evening of Carols by Candlelight to usher in the Christmas season. SATT, which celebrates its 100th Anniversary in Trinidad and Tobago this year, has been actively working to improve the lives of our nation's young men and women through training and various character building exercises. The local Association which boasts a membership of over 5,000 from communities all over Trinidad and Tobago, is part of the international Scout Movement.
The event, which is scheduled for this evening at the Scout Association's Headquarters at #1 St Ann's Road, St Ann's, promises to feature some of Trinidad and Tobago's best talent. With appearances by The Lydian Singers, recipients of several awards including, the Hummingbird Medal – Gold; Natalia Dopwell, winner of the May Johnstone Trophy for Best Operatic Aria at the Trinidad Music Festival; The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment Band; Wendell Constantine; the Diamond Chorale; 2nd Freeport Sea Scout Drum Corps; Voces Jovenes Parang Band and much more, the evening will be filled with the warm songs of Christmas telling of the birth of Christ and as well, our local traditions. In attendance will be the Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister Rodger Samuel.
In keeping with Scout tradition, this evening, which starts at 5.30 p.m., will provide wholesome entertainment for the entire family. It is open to the national community and entrance is free.
