ToolsTYRELL tops Trinbago kids got talent finalsThe Trinbago Kids Got Talent finals that recently took place at MovieTowne, Invaders Bay, Port of Spain offered many memorable moments such as the performance by Indian dancer Christine Beharry, the guest performance by the competition's 2011 winner Timel Rivas who rendered an acapella version of the Mighty Sparrow's "Education" and special appearance reigning Chutney Soca Monarch Kris "KI" Persad who performed his very popular song, "Single Forever". The evening however belonged to young Tyrell Toby who amazed the judges and audience alike to claim the 2012 Trinbago Kids Got Talent first prize. Toby charmed the audience with his spot on rendition of Beyonce's "Make Love To Me". Toby was presented with a gift package courtesy of the competition's sponsors bmobile, which consisted of a brand new Samsung Galaxy smartphone, call credit top ups and more. Eight-year-old Toby is from Claxton Bay and attends the Claxton Bay Junior Anglican School. His mother began teaching him to sing when he was four years old. The young man said he enjoys being on stage and that his new found fans can look forward to seeing him featured on Synergy TV and entering more competitions in Trinidad and Tobago and abroad. Toby who aspires to be a professional singer also said he's heavily influenced by international artistes such as Beyonce, Rihanna and John Legend and has goals of one day performing alongside Beyonce as well as local soca artiste Bunji Garlin. |
