Not only is Young still a beauty but she is now sharing her beauty and make-up secrets through her business, Carnival Faces Inc of which she is the Chief Executive Officer and lead artist. The Florida-based Young will be in Trinidad and Tobago Saturday for the debut of the first Carnival Faces Inc master class for make-up artists at Crowne Plaza, Port of Spain, from 8 a.m. With over 22 years of experience Young's work consists of fashion, beauty and bridal make-up. She has worked with Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Trish Mc Evoy, Lancôme, Dior, and Sasha USA. She has also worked runway shows and done photo shoots for Escada, Miami Fashion Week, Miss Miami/Broward Carnival Pageant, Miss Mastana Bahar USA, Generation X, Big & Strong One Island Body Paint Band, Island Gems and numerous glamour and Carnival related events. She first trained with Kamla Regrello, lead artist of Sacha Cosmetics Trinidad and Tobago. Her team leaders include Denise Richards (former Miss Trinidad & Tobago, and hostess of Antigua Carnival Faces), Maurice Young (Operations), Aunty Ruthie (Chief of Moral Support) and Trevalyne and Dana Tuitt (event coordinators). The company, Carnival Faces, is the official artist for events and organisations such as the Miss Miami/Broward Carnival pageant, Miss Mastana Bahar Miami, New York Divas of Club Maracas NY, Carnival bands Generation X, Big and Strong One Island Band, Miami. Young has also worked with make-up artistes like Bobbi Brown of Bobbi Brown cosmetics and Patti Dubroff of Christian Dior cosmetics. Carnival Faces comprises several artists from the US and the Caribbean and produces a diversity of looks—from pretty, soft and glamorous to exotic, daring and that dynamic Carnival look which makes use of bejeweled face tattoos, extreme glamour lashes, high impact pigmented paints and blingers. The secret to these looks are found in the choice of cosmetics that are hyper allergic, industry leaders and most importantly geared for longevity, Young explained Young said her workshop is an opportunity for make-up artists to gain hands-on knowledge and personal enrichment in a relaxed classroom setting, with expert industry speakers which include top make-up artists, photographers, videographers and personal enrichment professionals.
