His journey includes many travels, many stories, some of selling personal possessions to try and make it in the US and Britain. Beazer formally launched his new band 'Fast Lane' and performed songs from his new album, also entitled Fast Lane, at Shakers on the Avenue, Ariapita Avenue, Port of Spain, to an enthused crowd last month. The album is a collection of recorded material he has done both in Trinidad and the UK, over the past few years. Attending the Joel Beazer Fast Lane CD album launch was renowned fashion designer Sonia Mack whose fashion design of a Las Vegas-style Carnival costume graces the 'Fast Lane' album cover. Some patrons expressed favourable views of the band's muisic at the launch and were of the opinion that the band could win over international audiences. On the night 'Fast Lane' played a unique version of Bob Marley's "Concrete Jungle". Opening for 'Fast Lane' was the band 'Goodnight Parliament,' who were well received, and added to the entertaining show. |
