Addendum To Trinidad & Tobago Why Are You Treating Your People So?
Well let me update you on the people’s fate
I went back to T&T in July of late
What I saw made me stop to think of the voting debate
Streets were paved in many a conspicuous place
Sign posts were painted and pointing the right way
I had to speculate this was only done close to the voting date
It never fails to see how the Government tries to manipulate
People hope their Party will help them in their destitute state
A dab of paint here a little pitch there where the eyes could see
Brainwashing begins by manipulative strategies and inviting policies
Well tell me T&T, what have you recently done about the vagrancy?
You removed the people when Obama was coming to your country
You hide or fix the stuff you would not want a black President to see
For shame the joblessness and lawlessness continues
Crime could be curtailed and drunkenness lessened
It is the Calypsonians and steel bands bringing in the most annual revenue
People come from all over the world to hear their favorite band play on the Avenue
Many tell me without Calypso and steel band their will be no show
Merchants and vendors look forward to the boost in T&T’s economy and that is no joke
I will like to see crime curtailed and more job openings for the people of this sweet country
I will like to see less vagrancy and a boost in the economy
