Divali
Divali Nagar Inc was formed in September of 2008 here in Ft Lauderdale Florida. The first celebration took place at the prestigious Broward Cricket Park in Lauderhill, Florida for Divali 2008. There were dances, songs, music, food and other entertainment for all. This was the foundation for the now vibrant and functional Divali Nagar committee here in the USA. Celebrations last year was from Thursday October 28th – Saturday October 30th 2010. Now that we had the largest crowd ever assembled for an event of this type in this continent, we are celebrating Divali at the nagar 2011 from Friday October 21st – Sunday October 23rd.
This non-profit organization has a very solid foundation and is expanding at a very rapid pace. This event is a great place for businesses to showcase their goods and services to the public. This is a great event for kids to also volunteer their time for community service hours. The celebrations will include “ Lakshmi Pooja” and ” Prasaad “ every night from 6pm. Of the performers are Boodram Holass, Terry Gajraj, Florida Melody Makers, Universal Rhythms Band, Dinemsionz Band, Saaz Awaaz Band, Tassa Groups, Dance Groups, and a host of other entertainers.. Saturday’s massive cultural exhibition will begin at 4pm and end at 10pm.
