I am employed @the ministry of national security as a telecommunicator (e999 operator) and i must say it is the worse. Our pay is scrums ($4500). All other public servant works for more than us. We are always short staffed and the work load is to much.
We are threaten on a daily basis that food will be taken from the mouths of our children, as our job will no longer exist since we will be replaced another company pending situations that we cannot amend.
We work along Police officers that work 4 hours on @ night and four hours refresh, we are only allowed 1 hour break. So imagine for 7 hours of taking phone calls, and listening to emergencies, giving advice and dealing with insult from personnel thats making prank calls for only $4500.
I, we @ the Command Center are pleading with you @ the Express, please publish this article, where the the honorable Prime Minister Mrs. Kamla can take us from the dust-bin where she left us, improve our salary and work conditions (especially @ night).
