Focus on poverty

Minister of the People and Social Development, Dr Glenn Ramadharsingh issued instruments of appointment on Monday (January 10) to ten members of the Inter-Ministerial Working Committee to Review Poverty Alleviation and Social Support Programmes.

The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Social Development, 69 Independence Square, Port of Spain.

The Cabinet-approved committee has been mandated to review all existing poverty programmes with a view to streamlining them.
