In memory of ‘Nickel’

By Donstan Bonn

Family, friends and residents held a peace protest and candlelight vigil in memory of Kwame "Nickel" Bourne, at Postman Drive Recreation Ground, Crown Trace, Enterprise, on Monday (May 9).

Bourne was shot and killed by police on January 20, while asleep at his Crown Trace residence. There have been repeated calls for justice from those close to him.

Titled “Justice for Kwame Bourne, Stop the Police Brutality”, Monday's peace protest also highlighted the pain of other families who have lost loved ones at the hands of the police.
