Police said a romance gone sour and failed efforts at reconciliation led to the chopping death of a 36 year old mother of three, Byrlinda Solomon-Sobers, of Tobago.

The woman's thirteen-year old daughter was also attacked and is warded at a local hospital. The perpetrator of the attack, 55-year-old carpenter Daniel  Benjamin, is believed to have ended his life after drinking a posinous substance.
