Metallic EYES

By By Kirk Thomas

To me, the most flattering types of eyeshadow are those with shimmery metallic hues, yet a lot of women have difficulty finding shades that suit their skin tones and also finding out where to place them.

If you are fair-skinned or very light yellow, try metallic grey or champagne eyeshadow. For women who are medium to dark toned, you would look great in bronzes or coppery shades. Be careful to remember though, that cream eyeshadows are easy to blend, but if you want to apply more than one colour with ease, stick to powder formulas.

Start by applying the shadow from the lash line to the crease, if it is a very light shade such as beige, don't go above the crease as it can make the eye look flat. Pick a darker shade of the same family of colour to add some depth. Using a dome-shape brush, blend the darker colour into the crease. You can now add some soft shimmer by the inner corners of the eyes and blend softly inwards to brighten them. Top if off with some mascara and liquid liner and you will be set for those summer party events, or just for attending any special function where the make-up needs to have a glam factor.
