ToolsWhat's Trendingcolour-blocking is very 'Au Courant'!Colour always makes its mark every Spring/Summer season, every year and in different ways. in the international capitals of the world. But we in Trinidad and Tobago are a colour oriented people and as such we are not to be left out. As such, we decided to ask famed photographer Calvin French who is always on the ball when it comes to fashion that was trending. He did a search and came up with some exciting, wearable examples of this trending look. In conjunction with these bright and happy tones are graphic and 70s inspired retro prints…when combined with these 'neon pastel' colours, this makes for a fun and dramatic look. Silhouettes are really simple and easy to wear; tank and basic shirt-like shapes, straight pants, floaty dresses close to the body, cinching in the waist with little, narrow belts and as well skirts and dresses with 'shark-bite' hemlines (where the front's shorter and the back's longer). Some are not always confident to incorporate colour into a look as many are not comfortable to mix and match. The combinations styled today are meant to inspire as the appeal of the zest and pop of each look is bold but not as brazen a statement. |
