ATM thieves stole man's $63,000 life savings

 

A security officer in Tobago is currently warded a the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, after she accidentally shot herself in her leg.

According to police reports, at about 12.30p.m. on Friday, Alicia Bruce, of Signal Hill Tobago, was at the Easter Credit Union Building along Bon Accord, when her weapon discharged.

At the time, she was supervising maintenance works bring carried out on the ATM machine.

The wounded woman was rushed to the Scarborough General Hospital, where she was treated. However, due to the seriousness of the injury she was eventually transferred to the Mt Hope Hospital.

Bruce, police said, was employed with Quality Security Company.

A 9mm pistol and 14 rounds of ammunition were seized at the scene by police.
