Man awarded over $.2 m in SoE arrest*

 

A CANADIAN woman, who is four and a half months pregnant, is expected to appear before an Arima magistrate today, charged with the possession 3.26 kilogrammes of cocaine, which she attempted to smuggle out of Trinidad.

Police said on Wednesday, around 11.15 a.m., the 24-year-old was at Piarco International Airport, about to board Caribbean Airlines Flight BW 600 to Canada, when she was stopped by officers of the Organised Crime, Narcotics and Intelligence Unit.
